September 23 Devlog


Wow, there's only one week left for Spooktober! On one hand, we're super excited to finally share our project with people and get to relax a little, but on the other hand dang does that not feel like enough time. I'll have to gather my thoughts after all of this is done, but I've already learned so much. Next time, I want to have a much more solid outline and plan for story beats and things like UI elements like menus and the title screen. I also want to have more of a plan for time management going in, so it feels less like I'm still only now thinking of things I need to do. While I obviously always adored my favorite VN and game creators, I have much more of an understanding of how amazing it is that they created my favorite projects at all. There were so many times I wanted to just give up or push off the work to a later deadline (which, we'll still probably have to do to polish some things and include some game elements we simply ran out of time for), so I'm really amazed by the people who can keep creating things like this consistently. 

Anyway, we haven't given up yet! I hope anyone reading this gives MAN★EATER a chance when it's out. It won't be perfect, but I'm still really proud of what we've accomplished, especially when it comes to the amazing art and music my co-creators made.
